Emission Inventories of Sulphur Dioxide, Nitrogen Oxides, and Ammonia in Alberta 1963 to 1995: A Review

Description

Definitions and objectives of air pollutant emission inventories are given. The elements of effective management and planning of inventories are reviewed. A review of emission inventories for Alberta of acidifying emissions, including sulphur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen oxides (NOx), and ammonia (NH3), is conducted. From these inventories, trends of sulphur dioxide and oxides of nitrogen emissions are analyzed for the province. Current and planned work in the area of acidifying emission inventories is outlined.
